Change Someone's Hair Colour
Use this photoshop technique to change someone's hair colour to anything you want.
| 1. Load your image into photoshop, for this tutorial I've used this image:
2. Bring up the Calculations dialog box through Image -> Calculations menu.
3. Use these settings in the calculation menu so that the hair in the image becomes white, while everything else become black.
4. Once the hair is white, you can now use a brush with foreground color as black, to paint over other white areas that you do not need. Use these settings for the brush
5. Select the new layer that was created in the Channels lists.
6. Paint over anything that is not hair. You should end up with something like this
7. Go back to your picture and select the picturein the layers box.
8. Now goto Select -> Load Selection from the main menu, select "Alpha 1" (the new channel you made) for the Channel option.
9. Now only the hair is selected
10. Right click on the selection, and choose "Layer via Copy"
11. Bring up the color overlay dialog box, and choose what colour you want the hair to be, in my case I've choosen a bright red
12. In the layers box, choose a layer opacity of 50%, and blend mode "color burn".
13. Congratulations, you've just changed the colour of the guys hair in the photo.
