In this tutorial, you will learn to create a professional software box. You will also learn to add shadows to the object.

Create a rectangle with the help of Rectangle tool.

Press control+t and adjust the nodes to have a shape like this one: -

Add these laye styles in it: -

Image after applying above layer styles :-

Draw another shape as shown with the pen tool. Add similar layer styles in it.

Draw a black color shape either with pen tool or with rectangle tool.

Add default Black & White gradient as shown: -

Similarly, draw black shapes as shown: -

Add some text. I have used Impact & Arial fonts here. I selected light yellow as foreground and white as background color and applied default gradient overlay onto the text.

Now, select the part of the box as shown.

Press shift+control+c to copy the background area too. Similarily, select the other portion too. Paste and rotate it as shown.

Group and merge the copied layer. Set the opacity to around 40-45%.

Now select high feather eraser and erase the portion as shown.

Draw this triangular shape with pen tool. Fill it with gray.

Go to filter>blur>gaussian blur and blur it around 4 pixels. Our software box is ready :)
