The simple techniques used in this tutorial are also very helpful in creating more realistic metalic effect to any object. Final output can be seen below: -

Start by creating a white color circle with ellipse tool.

Add these layer styles in it: -

Image, after applying above layer styles: -

Draw a circle using Elliptical Marquee tool as shown. Press delete.

Keep the selection active. Create a new layer. Set the foreground color to #B68424 and background to #E6AD3D. Fill the selection with foreground to background gradient tool.

Press control+d to deselect. Add these layer styles in this layer: -

Draw another selection with Elliptical Maruqee tool. Press 'D' to change the foreground and background color back to the original black and white. Press 'X' to swap the colors. Your foreground should be white and background should be black. Create a new layer and fill the selection with foreground to background gradient.

Change the layer mode to screen. It will create a glass reflection to the object.

We will now add reflection to the object. Create another layer. Use high feather brush tool and draw some lines. Color values are given below: -

For better viewing, I have removed the color values written.

Draw these 1 pixel wide black color lines with line tool.

Group and merge all the lines. Duplicate and place the group of lines 1 pixel below the black lines. Change the color of lines to light gray. For that, right click on its layer name. Select blending options and than select color overlay. Change the color from default Red to light gray.

Add these control buttons with 4 point webdings font. Our MP3 player interface is ready :)
